Domed Japanese Style Jewellery/Memento Box with Brass Binding. Totally Unique
A totally unique box covered with symmetrical squares of brightly coloured papers, these hand crafted papers were from a collection of papers brought back from Japan many years ago
(We have sold two recently both very individual each with a different colour way and design inside)
This lovely decoupage box has an antique brass handle on the top and a brass clip on the front to keep it securely closed.
The lid stays up at 90 degrees
Lined with deep red high quality satin and a lovely descriptive typically Japanese paper
Removable tray with storage underneath. Depth of tray is just over 2.5cm and the storage below is 5.5cm
The base of the box has fine blue cotton leather
Size of box is 25cm x 17cm x 12cm (H)
The box has brass banding giving a luxurious feel.
Both the outside papers and inside papers have a fine protective coating
