Another stunner! Dark rosewood jewellery or sewing box or for other bits and pieces.
Nearly all the mother of pearl detail is original as is the pewter stringing see note below
Original solid brass hinges
Original lock sadly no key
Lined with deep red satin and blue printed marbled paper
There is a removable tray depth 2.5cm
Storage below is 5cm so ample room!
Size of box is 30cm x 22cm x 12.5cm so a good size
The finish is French polish
The base has blue cotton leather
A truly lovely box
NB There are no veneer repairs, however some of the mother of pearl has been replaced, (I defy you to find it!) and one section of pewter string has also been replaced
