Almost immaculate restored rosewood antique box, originally a glove box now ideal for necklaces, pencils, art brushes and maybe crochet hooks etc.
Almost all original pewter stringing (the two side pieces have been replaced) all the mother of pearl roundels are original as is the cartouche on the top
Original brass stop hinges (the lid stays up1)
There is the original lock with original mother of pearl escutcheon but alas no key
The inside base is lined with fine dark blue cotton cotton leather so is wipeable and the res of the box has vibrant printed marbled paper.
French polish finish

Size of box is 25cm x 9cm x 6cm (H)
There is one small veneer repai on the side that is difficult to see and a few 'nibbles around the hinge commensurate with age
